Making the switch to reusable products can be daunting, especially if you're just starting your sustainable journey. While the idea of living more sustainably sounds great, the reality of constantly remembering to bring your reusable bags to the store or finding the perfect alternative to single-use plastics can be overwhelming.
Over time, I’ve learned a lot about which swaps are the easiest for me — and which ones I still struggle with.
My Easiest Reusable Swap? Bowl Covers!
When it comes to easy, practical swaps, my favourite is bowl covers. I use them all the time — whether it’s covering leftovers in the fridge, letting dough rise, or keeping fruit fresh. You just toss it on, and you’re done.
I don’t have to waste time trying to fit lids to odd-sized bowls or wrestling with flimsy plastic wrap that doesn’t stick. And as an added bonus, they come in some beautiful prints, so they look great on my countertop.
My Hardest Reusable Swap? Grocery Bags.
The hardest swap for me? Reusable grocery bags. It seems, every time I go to the store, I forget to bring them with me. I end up walking out of the store balancing 14 loose items in my arms feeling ridiculous.
Casserole and Bowl Covers
If you’re ready to make a swap that’s easy, practical, and stylish, our casserole and bowl covers are back in stock in a bunch of new prints! Whether you’re covering a big batch of chili or wrapping up leftover salad, these covers are super simple to use.
They’re perfect for everything from potlucks to meal prepping, and they’re washable — meaning you’ll save money in the long run.
So, What’s Your Easiest or Hardest Swap?
We all have our go-to swaps, but we also all have the ones that we find difficult to maintain. So tell me: What’s your easiest swap? And what’s the one you just can’t seem to get the hang of?
Bonus: Exciting New Arrivals — Scented Solid Dish Soaps! 🍋🌿
As a little bonus, I wanted to share some exciting news! Thanks to all the votes, our new solid dish soap scents are here, and you voted for Citrus to be the top choice 🍋. But because I just couldn’t resist, I also brought in Eucalyptus Mint 🌿 — which smells amazing, by the way.
