Useful and decorative

I have a big heart for trying to lessen waste, but I don't like doing so when it's simply too impractical to integrate with a busy life. My husband just cares about the functionality aspect (to each their own), so he's a good test as to whether something's just impractical, and he's picky about cooking/kitchen use so even more so. When I first put them on the roll holder, I liked the look of them as well as that we wouldn't be going through as many disposable towels. At first my husband questioned their use outside of just being towels (said I got his point, but then said nothing to let it rest to see how he liked them w/o me trying to sell him on it). After 2 days he liked the idea w/ his only 'complaint' was that he didn't wanna use them for patting dry meat when washing -- which I told him "oh yeah no, the idea's just to reduce paper towel usage, stuff like that or the bathroom we'll use paper towels for," which he responded "ooooh, yeah I like that, it makes sense." a few days later, he wanted to know how to roll them after washing. These were an easy switch, and it's been nice to choose different patterns to add color to my very black/white/chrome kitchen. Overall, very practical kitchen use even for those who don't care as much about the reuse/recycle aspect.
